Refund & Cancellation Policy — Full Document

Last updated: January 2026.

At Horizon Consulting and Marketing Ltd, we operate on a foundation of mutual trust and clearly defined deliverables. Because our services are strictly consultative and knowledge-based, our payment structure is designed to eliminate risk for our clients. We only collect payment after formal sign-off on agreed-upon milestones or final project delivery. As a result, traditional 'refunds' are generally non-applicable — you are not billed for work you have not approved.

01

The Payment Upon Sign-Off Structure

We do not require upfront retainers for standard engagements unless explicitly stated in your custom Master Services Agreement (MSA). Our billing cycle is triggered exclusively when a phase of work is presented to you, reviewed, and officially signed off as complete and satisfactory. Because of this structure, traditional 'refunds' are generally non-applicable, as you are not billed for work you have not approved.

02

Revision Process & Quality Assurance

Prior to sign-off, all deliverables undergo a collaborative revision process. We allocate dedicated review cycles within the project timeline to ensure the strategic outputs align with your initial brief.

"If a deliverable does not meet the agreed criteria, we will revise it at no additional cost until it aligns with the scope defined in the Statement of Work (SOW)."

Sign-off acts as official acceptance of the work quality and fulfils our obligation for that specific phase.

03

Cancellation at Any Project Stage

We respect organisational agility. You retain the right to cancel an active project or consulting engagement at any time, for any reason, by providing formal written notice to your lead consultant or account manager. Upon receipt of a cancellation notice, all active work will cease immediately to prevent accruing unnecessary billable hours.

04

Partial Completion & Final Invoicing

In the event of cancellation mid-project, you will only be invoiced for the work completed and approved up to the exact date of termination.

"If the project is 50% complete at the time of cancellation, you will receive an invoice reflecting only that 50% effort, alongside delivery of all drafted materials produced to date."

05

Intellectual Property Ownership Upon Cancellation

We believe you should own what you pay for. Upon settlement of the final partial invoice following a cancellation:

  • All intellectual property rights for the partially completed work transfer fully to you.
  • We will package and hand over all raw files, strategic drafts, research data and documentation generated up to the point of cancellation.
